Chester Road Club formed in 1932.

 

A Friendly cycling club aimed at Cyclists of all ages and levels of fitness.

Chester Road Club has it's own Club/Open time trial events at 10, 25 and 50 miles, 
an Annual road race, weekly meetings where you can get advice,  
buy kit, the C.T.T. handbook etc, weekly Club runs for different levels of
fitness, Road race training on tuesdays in the spring summer, prize presentations/trophies, Christmas dinner events, a club newsletter,
and a membership card which offers year round discount and money off
vouchers with our sponsor store "The Bike Factory". All that for a small annual fee!

Ten mile time trials at Saighton Spring/Summer 2012. 

£3.50."Turn up and Try" events; plenty of Parking opposite Abbygate college. 

Note that time trials run every Thursday at Saighton from the end of April
till end of August and
are organised on rota by different clubs.
All the dates are in the events tab. These club events are turn up and try...
so come along and have a go! Y
ou should consider joining a club thereafter if you intend
to take
part regularly.

Chain Gangs.

The first chain gang will take place on Tuesday 10th April commencing at 7-00pm adjacent to the Rake and Pikel in Huntington. It will begin with a coaching session covering single paceline riding. Future sessions will cover double pacelines (Belgian chains), echelon riding, taking food and drink at speed from a helper etc.etc.

Club Runs.


1. Gerry Robinson.
Slower pace club runs

A new Sunday run was initiated early in October.
Riders meet in the car park at County Officers' Sports Club, Newton Lane,
departing at 10-00am. Routes are chosen to last 3 to 4 hours at an average
speed of 14 to 15mph overall and use the lanes of Cheshire and North
Shropshire. A short cafe stop is incorporated near the end if the group feel
they need it. As the young riders from the
Go-Ride club reach 14 or 15 years
of age it is hoped they will use these rides as an introduction to the
Chester Road Club.  MEET AT

2. Ashley Stephens.Weekend club hilly training rides 
Ashley Stephens 
will be leading out faster 
paced hilly rides
ave sp 16-18mph 3-4 hours into the Welsh
hills genrally  
if the weather is good.These rides are aimed at
people who would like  to train for race or time trials in 2012
or just fancy a faster ride. (No waiting sorry)
